FORMER LAWMAKER, OTHERS DEFECT TO PDP IN EKITI

Some members of various political parties in Agbado Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government have defected to the  People’s Democratic Party PDP.

Receiving the defectors in Agbado Ekiti, PDP ward Chairman in the town, Mr Ogunsina Benjamin said that the defectors would be given equal opportunities like every  other members of PDP.


Speaking at the event, one of the  leaders of the party in Gbonyin local government, Mr Bunmi Adeyanju known as Ayanfe Gbonyin, welcomed the defectors and assured them that they would not be treated as new comers.





Mr Adeyanju who is the PDP candidate in Gbonyin local government during the last House of Assembly election under the umbrella of the PDP called on other people in the council to join the party.


He appealed to members of PDP in Ekiti state to come together in the interest of the party, saying PDP could only achieve success in the forthcoming elections if members were united.


Ayanfe Gbonyin noted that the development would increase the number of PDP members in Ekiti and boost the chances of the party in future elections.





Mr Adeyanju commended senator Biodun olujimi on the empowerment of some members of PDP, noting that the items given would ameliorate the suffering of the beneficiaries.


In their remarks, the leaders of the defectors, a former member of the  Ekiti State House of Assembly who is a member of APC, Hon. Amoguniyi Fadare and Mr Seun Adepoju noted that they defected to PDP because the party would be the choice of the people in Ekiti in the forthcoming polls.
