Happy Birthday To An Amazon Woman, Erelu Bisi Fayemi - Ekiti IPAC, Gender and Disability Advisor

The Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) which is the statutory conglomeration of all Political Parties, Ekiti State has felicitated with the Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi on her birthday.

According to a statement signed and made available to the Concordnews at Ado Ekiti, the State Capital by the Ekiti State IPAC Gender and Disability Advisor, Chief Mrs Olubunmi Falana on Tuesday confirmed Erelu Bisi Fayemi has one of the leading light amidst the women folks in Nigeria.

Erelu Bisi Fayemi is a Feminist activist, Gender specialist and policy Advocate. In 2001, she co-founded the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), the first Pan-African grant-making organisation. She serves as a UN Women Nigeria Senior Advisor, and was appointed as a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King’s College, University of London in 2017. She is a Principal Partner, Amandla Consulting, and runs an online community.



In her quest to support Gov. Kayode Fayemi, her husband's Administration, she actively involved in a range of policy advocacy, grassroots empowerment and social inclusion programs in Ekiti State. 

The Ekiti IPAC Gender and Disability Advisor, Chief Mrs. Olubummi Falana stated in her message that ” Erelu Bisi Fayemi is a woman worthy of emulation, whose gender equity advocacy is legendary.

According to the Statement, "Bisi Fayemi has carved a niche for herself in the area of gender balancing and equality. she believes in women development." 

"We celebrate her today because we are proud to associate with a woman of value and character," Chief Mrs. Falana said.
