Late Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua, a Trustworthy and Able Leader - SDP

The social Democratic Party in Ekiti State has described the late former Governor of old Ondo State, Evangelist Ishola Bamidele Olumilua as a trustworthy and able leader.

In a Statement signed by the Ekiti State Secretary of the Social Democratic party Engr. D.O Bankole and made available to the Newsmen by the Party's State Chairman, Dr. Dele Ekunola on Monday stated that, the late Bamidele Olumilua who was the Governor of old Ondo State between January 1992 to November 1993 under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), governed with the fear of God and love of the masses.

According to the Statement, the late former Governor Olumilua made his mark within the short period of his tenure before the military truncated his agenda which did not allow him to achieve his aims and objectives.

Also goes further that, "within the short period of his administration, his social transformation was manifested everywhere in which masses and members of his Party were proud of him, and his legacy remains." According to the Statement.

The Party thanked God for fulfilled life well spent by the late former Governor of old Ondo State, and attained the age of 80 before the glorious call.

Court sacks Inter-party Council’s National Chairman, Peter Ameh By Eric Ikhilae, Abuja A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Apo has declared as illegal the continued occupation of the office of the Chairman of the Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) by Chief Peter Ameh. In a judgment on Monday, Justice Binta Mohammed held that Ameh could no longer remain in office as IPAC Chairman, because his political party, Peoples Progressive Alliance (PPA) was one of the 74 parties recently de-registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
